What Does an AC Tune-Up Include?
An AC tune-up starts with various checks and diagnostic tests to make sure your system is running properly. Then our HVAC technician will investigate for wear and tear, winter damage, leaks, and any signs of corrosion. Once they have finished the initial inspection, they will start the process of cleaning and servicing the system. This includes:
- Test compressor amp draw
- Test fan motor amp draw
- Test capacitor value
- Test volt drop on contactor
- Check condition of hard start device
- Check condition of evaporator coil
- Check for refrigeration leaks
- Check condition of condenser coil
- Check wiring and connections
- Condition of electrical disconnect
- Check for seal coil cabinet
- And much more that a trained technician will go over with you while on site
