Lake Michigan Heating Cooling and Plumbing is delighted to share news of a recent donation to Help Pregnancy Aid. This generous donation, composed of diapers, wipes, and cash, was collected during our inaugural Service Club Member appreciation event.

“This event was a phenomenal representation of the spirit of community and giving back,” said Daniel VanderHyde, Owner, Lake Michigan Heating Cooling and Plumbing. “Our Service Club Members not only benefit from our home maintenance services, but they also joined us in supporting a noble cause within our community.”

After making the donation, Daniel had the opportunity to tour the Help Pregnancy Aid facilities, gaining a deeper understanding of their life-giving work.

Established in 1973, Help Pregnancy Aid provides critical support and services to women and families with untimely pregnancy and providing assistance while parenting. The nonprofit serves over 3,000 client visits annually.

The supplies donated will be utilized by the Emergency Material Assistance program at Help Pregnancy Aid, where they provide essentials like baby formula, diapers, wipes, and clothing on an emergency basis.

“So many people who come to HELP for assistance have very difficult situations to overcome,” said Paula Veneklase, Executive Director, Help Pregnancy Aid. “While we cannot solve all problems, we can make a significant difference in people’s lives. With generous donations like the one from Lake Michigan Heating Cooling and Plumbing, we are continuing to provide compassionate services and creating a community of support.”

Lake Michigan’s inaugural Service Club Member appreciation event was an afternoon full of joy and camaraderie. In addition to the collection drive for Help Pregnancy Aid, attendees enjoyed an afternoon filled with family-friendly activities and the fellowship of their neighbors.

“I am beyond proud of our Service Club Members who contributed to this vital cause. This event not only highlighted our community’s unity, but also the difference we can make when we come together. We are honored to support Help Pregnancy Aid in their work to serve women and families in our area,” said Daniel.

Lake Michigan’s donation to Help Pregnancy Aid is one of the many ways the company demonstrates its commitment to the community. Their philanthropy is as integral to their business model as their dedication to providing expert HVAC, boiler, and plumbing services.

So we have to get a shout out to Lake Michigan Mechanical. They were the only ones who could come do the repair today, everyone else was like three days or more out. They were really cool and made the best out of what was a really stressful day for us!! They were really respectful of keeping our door shut when they went in/out (you would not believe how many animals of ours have gotten out due to home repair people) and they cleaned up after themselves!! So far the hot water seems to be working great!

The phrase first impressions are lasting impressions rings true with Daniel VanderHyde. He rescued us one Saturday morning after we tried “fixing” our leaky shower faucet ourselves.
